From Place to Page: The Chodge Featured in Cape to Bluff
We are delighted to share that The Chodge has been featured in the new Cape to Bluff Volume 2, a stunning architectural photography book by world-renowned photographer Simon Devitt and writer Andrea Stevens.
Created over several years, the new volume features 30 exceptional homes from across Aotearoa New Zealand. Through photography, essays, and conversations, the book explores the relationship between architecture and place — not simply documenting built form, but looking to the wider context that gives each home its meaning.
At its heart is a strong sense of place: the landscapes that hold these homes, the stories that informed them, and the everyday rituals that unfold within them.
“Having The Chodge featured in Cape to Bluff Volume 2 is a real privilege. The project has always been about more than just the building itself, it’s about place, family, and creating a home that feels genuinely connected to its setting. To see it included alongside such a thoughtful collection of homes from across Aotearoa is something we are incredibly proud of.”
— Darryl Church, Managing Director, DCA Architects of Transformation.
A big congratulations to everyone involved in bringing The Chodge to life, and to Simon Devitt and Andrea Stevens for capturing and sharing these homes so beautifully.
Cape to Bluff Volume 2 is readily available from Simon Devitt’s site and major independent bookstores across New Zealand.
