That’s a wrap!
We were privileged to have our Chodge documentary screened at this year’s Resene Architecture & Design Film Festival which received a lot of interest and heartfelt reviews across the motu.
Led by DCA founder and managing director, Darryl Church, the doco showcases a rare insight into the people and process behind designing and building his unique award-winning holiday home on the picturesque banks of Lake Whakamaru. The film captures the essence of the location, people and landscape in a raw, honest, and often humorous, portrait.
Directed by local film maker, Graeme Murray – beautifully capturing this sanctuary for a family to gather.
Darryl traveled the country as part of the festival and spoke at Q & A sessions hosted by ADNZ.
“It’s been a blast the past couple of months touring around with the film, meeting lots a people, answering lots of questions and plenty of curiosity. The real winner here is architecture. It has started many conversations. Whether you like it or not isn’t the point. It has moved people across the country to come out and join the journey of my family to create “our place”. “
And the story of The Chodge does not end here... to be continued!
